In-Person Therapy in Carlsbad & Online Therapy Across California

Sometimes starting over isn't about leaving your life behind.

It's about finally building one that feels like your own.

Surfers along the Southern California coast near Carlsbad and San Diego

When my family and I relocated to Southern California, it wasn't just a change of scenery-it was the beginning of a new chapter. It was an opportunity to build a life that reflects the same values I encourage in my clients every day: courage, intention, connection, and the willingness to choose a different path when the old one no longer fits.

California's coastline has become part of my own rhythm of healing. It's where I run, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most. That sense of groundedness is something I hope every client experiences in therapy-not because life suddenly becomes easy, but because they begin living it differently.

Through secure telehealth and in-person sessions in Carlsbad, I work with adults and teens throughout California who are ready to move beyond simply understanding their struggles and begin creating meaningful change. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, addiction, military or first responder experiences, or a major life transition, therapy can become more than a place to process. It can become the place where your life starts moving forward again.

You don't have to have it all figured out before you begin.

Sometimes the next chapter starts with a single conversation.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

Real healing doesn't have to fit inside four walls.

Whether we meet in my Carlsbad office or virtually from anywhere in California, therapy should fit into your life-not create more barriers to getting the support you need.

For clients who appreciate the connection of being in the same room, I offer in-person therapy in Carlsbad Village, just minutes from the beach in North County San Diego. For those balancing demanding careers, military or first responder schedules, family responsibilities, or simply preferring the comfort of home, secure telehealth offers the same thoughtful, intentional care from anywhere in California.

No commute. No rushing across town.

Just a space where you can slow down, exhale, and do the work that actually changes your life.

Who I Work Best With

You're successful at surviving.

You're just tired of living that way.

I work best with adults who have spent years carrying more than most people realize. The ones who keep showing up, keep performing, keep taking care of everyone else-while quietly wondering why life still feels so heavy.

Many of my clients are navigating:

  • Trauma and complex PTSD

  • Military and veteran experiences

  • First responder stress and cumulative trauma

  • Addiction and recovery

  • Anxiety that never seems to turn off

  • Grief and life transitions

  • Relationship patterns that keep repeating

  • The feeling that they've lost themselves somewhere along the way

My clients aren't looking for endless insight without change.

They want to understand why they feel the way they do, and then actually build a life that feels different.

Why Wildlight Counseling?

Because insight is only the beginning.

One of my favorite sayings is:

Insight illuminates the path. Action carries you home.

Understanding your story matters. Naming your wounds matters. Making sense of why you think, feel, and respond the way you do matters.

But insight alone rarely changes a life.

At Wildlight Counseling, therapy isn't about collecting more awareness while life stays the same. It's about helping you transform that insight into meaningful action-healing the patterns that keep you stuck, reconnecting with the parts of yourself you've had to leave behind, and creating lasting change outside the therapy room.

Using approaches like EMDR, Brainspotting, and other trauma-informed therapies, we'll work together to help your nervous system heal, not just your thinking.

Because I don't believe healing is about learning to live with less pain.

I believe it's about building a life that's bigger than it.
